The process for this project was that we were given three poems and try to find words or titles that sort of grabbed us and try to make a poster that relates to the theme of the poem. I chose Yes, this is a circus because I felt like there was something I could make, so I was thinking of ideas that related to circus, clowns, balloons until I thought of clowns juggling that I thought it would be a perfect idea to make so after sketching and playing around with the idea, designing balls with the letters to spell the word circus in different patterns the last one was a sort of “scattered” look with the balls in different sizes. Once that was decided and giving them all different colors to represent how every life was different and how it's all juggled, I added a sort of colorful feel to it to keep in line with the circus theming. Once it was finished, I added the poem into the poster as well as use the assets created for it to be repurposed to Instagram posts seeing how it can be reworked for Instagram posts and that is how the finale posts came to be.
We started off with a few sketches based on a word from the title, time, circus and quartet were from three different poems and I felt like circus gave the most ideas in a sense since circuses can include many things like the afformentioned juggling, ticket booths, posters and balloons.

Passion Guide was a fun and interesting project, for this one we had to either pick an existing designer or a topic we were interested in, and I picked the ladder and the topic was video games. Brainstorming ideas for this took a while, but I eventually landed on a vaporware retro look where images had a colored filter over a fuzzy screen with patterns behind it. Once that was decided, I had to find 20 shops and three reviews to use as special spots to visit in San Diego and incorporate video game items, which I used things I had at the house and edited them to be added to the booklet. Once that was settled, I created a map that had a video game look and organize the images and text so that it was readable, presentable and not so “wordy” in a sense. Once that was settled and fixed, the project was complete and finalized, just going over in case anything looked off before turning it in.

Once the booklet was finished, it was time to move onto the next project which was designing an app that relates to the booklet, which was video games. Once opening up Figma and setting a phone base and designing how it would look like to add the details later such as colors, a menus bar, articles, sections and a logo and name using a mind map to see what pages were going to be added and how they all connected. Once that was finished was the details and imagery to give it a flair in a sense and once the color was decided and the images for the mock articles selected next was the sections and dividing them up into different ones such as a review section with mini sections within for stores, consoles and games, a news section and an update section for upcoming gaming related events like charity streams. Once the designs were there and the text and paragraphs fit the boxes and had breaks in them as well as fixing the colors was then adding the link process so it could function in some way. Connecting everything making sure it visited the right page and adding a little animation while also making sure the buttons for all of them work such as the news, reviews, profile/login, search and return buttons functions as intended. Once that was done was the survey process having it tested by users and once feedback was obtained use it to make the app more accessible and the project was finalized.
